Hi BHW,

I received my copy of John Carlton's "KICK-ASS Copywriting Secrets Of A Marketing Insubordinate" course and thought I would start a Journey give-and-take with it.

58377445_2438565599539536_6505292105156395008_n.jpg

I am choosing non to attach any financial number goal (publicly, although I have i in mind) since I don't actually know what the book is supposed to help me "do" also education me to become a better marketer and salesman. The question that I will find out is: "it volition teach me how to write 'sensational ads', only will it teach me how to apply the skills for an income? How else can the ideas exist applied?"

On ane mitt, I want to merely dive in and "see where it takes me."

But as a big fan of "Remember and Abound Rich" I know that not having an end goal volition lead to failure, or a weaker result than if you established a goal. And then likewise the fiscal goal I have in the privacy of my head here are a few of my milestones:

ane) Develop some other product/service valued between $20-$100 (using Carlton's ideas)
2) Create an ad that sells at least 100 units of a production (whether my own or someone else's)
3) Publish enough compelling content on my website that helps me maintain a consistent thou+ visitors/calendar month using the skills taught by Carlton (combined with some SEO).

Then my hypothesis here is "if I employ the ideas presented in 'KICK-ASS Copywriting Secrets Of A Marketing Rebel,' then I predict I will attain those milestones listed above, and increase my income."

Also equally a quick annotation that as function of exercise, I am going to hand-copy my favorite paragraphs from KACSOAMR because information technology is a commonly taught exercise to copy successful ads or sales letters past hand.

Starting time update:

KACSOAMR has already provided some great brainstorming. To start off, I came up with a handful of target market place ideas.

1) Cheap wine connoisseurs (higher students)
ii) Sneakerheads
3) Book enthusiasts (will want to pick a genre for this)
4) Gun enthusiasts (probably in a mid-western or southern state)
5) National Park Hiking/Camping ground enthusiasts
6) Living room remodelers
7) People who love science videos on YouTube
viii) Gaming accompaniment technology enthusiasts (mouse, keyboard, headsets, etc... not XR/VR/AR)
nine) IPO Investors, Commodity investors
10) Insect photographers
eleven) Cat and dog enthusiasts. This one is obvious and could probably be improved
12) Activeness or Martial Arts movie enthusiasts

I feel some of these brainstormed niches don't fit the suggested criteria presented by Carlton, but I thought I would leave them in case information technology helps any of y'all.

Living room remodelers? Hahahahaha that's what I telephone call dialing in a niche!

I'd suggest media room personally, because those people are actively dropping tens of thousands of dollars in multimedia stuff for in-home theaters.

Subbed!

UPDATE: 18:32

How-do-you-do Readers,

I am currently oven'ing upwards some Crinkle Cut french chips, yumm!

Awesome you found your way to this post because you will become some nifty ideas out of it. You are about to see a handful of interesting headlines inspired by John Carlton'southward KACSOAMR that you can employ to sell your own products.

I currently write reviews on personal development and business concern books so I may eventually update them and write articles (or sales pages) using some of Carlton's methods.

Headlines for:
If you lot are selling "Remember and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill...:
"Larn the success secrets of Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, and John D. Rockefeller"
"How to create a fortune no thing where you are in life"
"You are sitting on a fortune, here's how to dig information technology upwards"

If you are selling "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz...:
"You finally got your nose job, here is how you truly get confident"
"Plastic surgery doesn't always make people happy, and here is what you tin can do about it"

If you are selling "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie...:

Saturday: Offset Applications of Carlton's lessons.

And so far KACSOAMR has provided some dandy introductions into the surreptitious ideas, and Carlton does a nifty task of establishing how and why they work.

I detect it difficult to apply his ideas because I don't have a big advert business organisation that allows me to create ads to test, and so to scale it down, I take been working on applying his lessons to my manufactures.

I am only going through the first few sections which are essentially introductions to his secrets. They have been very valuable in helping me generate ideas and update my skills. Right now I am applying his ideas to see if information technology helps my YouTube channel which I utilise to sell products. If I get an increase in views, it is probably something that tin can be repeated by nigh given that you are comfortable on photographic camera.

Can follow upwards with results later.

The challenge is being a bit more bold with the content. I call back with all the SEO people focused on "keywords" nosotros might lose sight of what really captures peoples attending because nosotros want so desperately to have the right words to rank on our website.

But who knows what volition work better?

Sun:

KACSOAMR is definitely a great idea generator. Today, it helped me write what I think is i of my most compelling pieces of copy yet for my website, where I didn't demand to "follow some format/guide."

Also, I constitute it helpful to read KACSOAMR before starting the writing as information technology helped give a bunch of not bad ideas such as how to start the kickoff paragraph (which is almost as of import as the headline).

Following this journeying, I am personally subscribed to Carlton's newsletter and web log I dear him, some questions for you:

a) Did you buy his book or the entire form? I merely bought the book/audio material

b) I am interested more in the entire sales/marketing perspective (that I know he gives) and non only on the copywriting role, does he explains the marketing process more?

Yous'd have to get into a bit more detail near what you lot mean past the entire sales/marketing perspective... I don't really empathize what you mean past that. He does take a very high-level overview of what it means to exist in marketing and what it means to be a salesman/adult female. And a lot of them are pretty in line with other famous marketers like Robert Collier and Gary Halbert. But the focus is definitely on the office of copywriting. He also has a department about production development. But so far he hasn't had a section on "Google ad funnels" and "CTR's" yet...

Note that I am only nearly one/4 of the way through the material.

c) Are you lot developing and info production or what exactly are you trying to promote?

I have not decided on an info production I will create however. Right now my current projects are to practice copywriting to sell other peoples affiliate products.

Cheers.

Actually I am not remotely interested nearly CTR, google ads or anything like that more than in the unabridged sales process similar pinching the needs, twisting the pains in your re-create etc....

Well my definition of sales process is different than yours. I call a sales procedure using some sort of funnel such equally where you accept cold potential customers all the way at the top -> warm leads > proposals > discussing the bargain > and finally closing and maintaining the relationship.

It sounds like you are specifically focused on "copywriting" and the "procedure" within copywriting... And then far, I'grand just 1/quaternary through Carlton'south course, and he focuses more on the "fundamental elements" such equally the headlines, and what it is all about... So mayhap he might later on in the book, but the headline and first paragraph are and so important, it's probably adept he has taken a few sections to get into the "body of it all."
